(Another event Cancelled)...It is the Annual Sheriff's Barbecue.

The cause was COVID 19. For the past 30 years the Imperial County Sheriff's Office Volunteer Groups have held its Annual Fundraising Barbecue event the last Sunday in September at the Imperial Valley Fairgrounds. The proceeds from the event are utilized for the various Sheriff's Office Volunteer Groups with their operational expenses, required trainings, and up-keep of their equipment. The Volunteer groups are; De Anza Rescue Unit, Sheriff's Mounted Posse, Explorer Post 500, Sheriff's Aero Squadron, Sheriff's Reserve Deputies and Sheriff's Athletic League. They are hopeful the annual BBQ will go  forward for 2021.
