(Previously deported sex offender)…He was arrested by the El Centro Sector Border Patrol.

The man was found about a mile west of the Downtown Calexico Port of Entry. He was originally arrested for possibly entering the US illegally. The 50 year old Mexican National was taken to the Border Patrol Station for a records check. It was discovered the man had been convicted in December 2006 for lewd and lascivious act with a child under 14 years of age out of San Bernardino. He had been sentenced to 3 years confinement. In 2008 the unidentified man had been deported back to Mexico. The man was being held for federal prosecution.
