El Centro Police responded to two separate incidents involving deaths early Tuesday.

Shortly after midnight ECPD officers and emergency personnel responded to the report of an overdose. CPR was administered but to no avail as the individual was pronounced dead. The Imperial County Coroner's Office is handing the investigation. 

At about 1:45 a.m. officers responded to the report of a deceased individual. The individual , an apparent transient , was found by a friend. Officials are investigating the death.
