(Long time plans being put into action)…Discussions have been ongoing for years.

The City of Imperial wants to take possession of the High School swimming pool and surrounding park area. They want to expand the pool and develop the park land. To pay for the project, the City is applying for the 4th round State Proposition 68 Park Funding. City officials say are talking with the Imperial School District about a possible land swap. The City would get the pool and park land in exchange for land in north Imperial to construct a new High School or Elementary School.
