An Imperial County Strike Team has been at the fire for the past week. County Fire Chief Afredo Estrada says it is not known how long they will remain at the fire. According to the latest report, the fire has now burned 6,695 acres. Cal Fire says the blaze is 15 percent contained. The fire has damaged 21 structures, including 5 residences, and destroyed 37 structures, including 35 residences. No injuries have been reported. There are currently 16 crews, including the one from Imperial County, assisting in the fight to contain the fire.
