The Imperial County Public Health Department updated the COVID-19 Dashboard Thursday morning.

One more death was recorded , an individual over 90 years of age. The number of active COVID-19 cases was 8 lower than the day before. The number of positive cases of the virus in the Valley increased by 21. The 7-day percentage of testing positive increased slightly to 8.33%. The states Roadmap to Recovery plan has a goal of less than 8% testing positive in the past 7 days. Imperial County Public Health officials have petitioned the state to allow the county to proceed to State II Low Risk status , a level that had been obtained in July but was quickly rescinded when the number and severity of local COVID-19 cases spiked. There was no indication as to when the state would respond to the county's request.
