(Major Census push)…It is going on throughout Southern California.

That includes Imperial County. An army of Census takers will be fanning out across the County to make sure thousands of area residents are counted. Response rates are currently at 58.1 percent in Imperial County, compared to 64.7 percent across the rest of the state. Because the deadline to respond is September 30, Census Bureau Officials are encouraging residents to respond before the census taker arrives at your door. Residents can respond to the documents they received in the mail, Respond online at 2020census.gov, or by phone at 844-330-2020 for English and 844-468-2020 for Spanish. Assistance is also available in more than 13 other languages, as well. Census takers will follow local public health guidelines when the go door to door. Information provided is confidential.
