U. S. Border Patrol agents rescued 17 illegal aliens in five separate incidents over the weekend.

Very early Saturday morning , a caller from San Francisco notified El Centro Sector Border Patrol that her brother-in-law and another man were lost in the desert near Centinela State Prison. About an hour later one of the men was found and the otherwise located about 30 minutes later.

At about 10:55 a.m. Saturday El Centro Sector Border Patrol was notified by Grupo Beta in Mexico. The Mexican agents said that they had located an individual south of the border about 43 miles west of Calexico that had been lost and without water for three days. The Individual told authorities that a man he had been traveling with was lost north of the border. U. S. agents located the man about 2 hours later. 

At about 7:30 p.m. Saturday , a woman notified local authorities that she and her two young children were in distress along Highway 98 near Ocotillo. Imperial County Fire located the woman and the children and assisted with medical aid. The woman and children , from Guatemala , had entered the U.S. illegally.

Sunday morning at about 11:40 a.m. Border Patrol responded when a group of 7 illegal immigrants reported they were in distress. The 7 , 6 adult men and 1 16-year old juvenile , were located about an hour later.

Sunday evening at about 10:45 p.m. a group of 4 notified authorities that they were dehydrated and needed help. The BORSTAR team located the four men about an hour later.

All the individuals were medically evaluated and then returned to Mexico.
