(Ultra Light smuggling attempt)…It happened early Saturday morning.

At 12:15 am, Border Patrol agents observed an Ultra Lite Aircraft flying at a low altitude west of Highway 111, south of Jasper Road. Agents respo9ndd to the scene and found a white duffel bag, containing 26 clear plastic containers. The duffel bag and the containers were taken to the Calexico Border Patrol Station. It was determined the contents of the containers was methamphetamine, with a total weight of over 145 pounds with an estimated street value of over $327,000. The narcotics were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
