The Imperial County Public Health Department updated the local COVID-19 numbers Wednesday morning.

The number of deaths reported increased from 121 to 125. The number of individuals who tested  positive for the disease increased in the 24 hour period by 121 going from 7,343 to 7,464. The number of individuals tested increased by 351. There are 6,280 patients who have recovered from the virus. Testing continues at two OptumServe sites in the Valley. At the Brawley Senior Center and at the Imperial Veteran's Hall. Testing is free and no physician referral is needed. You must make an appointment and that can be done through the OptumServe website or the Imperial County Public Health Department website.
