(Area Agency on Aging)…They are continuing to ensure seniors receive meals.

During the current pandemic, congregate meal centers have been closed. The seniors, instead, are getting their meals delivered. Catholic Charities has the contract for home delivered meals, but with the congregate meals centers closed, there is a large increase in Home Delivered meals. To cover the increased number, the AAA has contracted with other sources. They will make and deliver the meals. Rosa’s Plane food in Calexico will cover the south county. Brownies Diner in Brawley is covering the north county. ARC of Imperial Valley is providing the service for El Centro, Imperial, Holtville and Heber. Each has a different delivery schedule.
