A motorcycle rider suffered major injuries early Sunday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol , the motorcyclist was injured in an accident at Wilkins and Gillespie Roads. The rider sustained a possible broken ribs as well as severe road rash. The accident remains under investigation
