(Jason Jackson case still not settled)…The El Centro City Council member was in court last month.
The court was to hear arguments on the judges determination that Jackson had violated the terms of his probation. Jackson had claimed he had followed the terms of probation in his request to have the probation revoked. The judge said it had been discovered that Jackson had two speeding tickets, which are considered crimes, and therefore Jackson filed a false report when he claimed he had obeyed the rules for probation. One of the rules is to avoid criminal activity. In his court appearance Jackson’s attorney Robert Espinoza could not attend because of illness. Espinoza later passed away. The judge continued the matter until June 26. Jacksons legal problems began in 2016 when he was arrested for cruelty to animals after it was found he was the owner of an emaciated horse.
