(COVID 19 positive tests)…The numbers continue to increase.

At last report, 1,236 had tested positive for the virus. Healthcare officials have said the numbers would be increasing with increased testing. They also suspect increases were due to many not following the social distancing order and the stay at home order during the Mother’s Day Holiday. The numbers could go even higher because of the same reasons over the Memorial Day Weekend. According to the latest numbers, Calexico still leads all other communities in Imperial County with 404 positive cases. El Centro is reporting 354 positive cases of COVID 19. There are 239 cases in Brawley. 116 in Imperial. 64 positive cases have been reported in Holtville, 42 in Heber. There are 23 positive cases reported in Calipatria. 11 in Westmorland. There are 5 positive cases in Salton City, 4 in Seeley and 2 in Winterhaven. There are zero cases in Ocotillo and Palo Verde.
