Caltrans will begin paving operations at the intersection of State Route 98 and State Route 7 near the Calexico East Port of Entry.

The work is scheduled to begin Wednesday , May 6 and continue from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for up to 4 days. The work will involve partial lane closures with one-way traffic control through the intersection. The improvements are part of a 3-month project on a 5.7 mile stretch of Highway 98 from State Route 7 to the East Highline Canal bridge. Crews will be working Monday -Friday 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with some extended hours and weekends possible.
