(Buttner hearing)…It was held this week.

It was a modified motion hearing. Modified to accommodate the pandemic mitigation for court hearings. It was a four screen video conference that included the defendant, defense counsel, prosecutor and the judge. Annette Buttner is facing charges of perjury, filing a false declaration of candidacy and one count of grand theft in a value exceeding $950. Judge Jeffery Jones was covering for Judge Marco Nunez. Only one motion was dealt with Buttner exercised her right not to consent to waiving her personal presence at legal proceedings. The defense requested a continuance and it was granted by the Judge. Another Motion hearing was scheduled for May 27, and the defendant will be requested to be physically present at that hearing.
