An early morning fire destroyed a Yuma home.
Just after 5:00 a.m. Thursday , Yuma Fire Department responded to a report of a house on fire in the 9600 block of East 34th Street. On arrival firefighters found a fully involved doublewide mobile home with heavy flames and smoke coming from the structure and the area around it. Firefighter worked to protect the surrounding homes and extinguish the blaze.
Two occupants of the home were able to evacuated the residence but were taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the fire. The home was a complete loss and a neighboring home had some heat damage. Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
