(I-8 lane blocked)…It happened at just before 10:00 Thursday morning.

The California Highway Patrol says a transport was hauling a mobile home westbound on Interstate 8. The transport lost an axle in the slow lane near the Imperial Highway off-ramp. The number 2 lane was blocked until the CHP could call in a vehicle to pull the transport vehicle and another one to haul the mobile home.
