Yuma Fire Department responded to a brush fire early Wednesday morning.

The fire was reported at about 4:15 a.m. in the area of West Wetlands Park. Firefighters found the fire burning in dense brush near Water Street , east of 12th Avenue  , in a transient campsite. Fire personnel were able to extinguish the blaze and keep it from spreading. The fire appeared to have started from an unattended campfire. No injuries were reported.
