Imperial Valley College has a preliminary emergency action plan to cope with the COVID-19 virus.
Meanwhile the college remains open and offering instruction and services. IVC Superintendent / President Martha Garcia held a COVID-19 Campus Forum on Tuesday and the college is working with the Imperial County Department of Public Health to closely monitor developments of the virus in Imperial Valley.
The Emergency Action Plan stipulates that the campus will close for up to three weeks and transition to offer most instruction online if a student , faculty or staff be confirmed with COVID-19. The college said they are communicating with the Camus community and following the Center for Disease Control and Prevention health guidelines on practicing good hygiene throughout the campus.Current plans call for a two week quarantine period and up to an additional week to disinfect the campus if COVID-19 is confirmed.
