(The Counties Highest Honor)….It is the Medal of Merit.

It will be awarded Tuesday. The County Board of Supervisors will present the award, and related resolution, posthumously honoring Leon Lesicka, for his outstanding commitment and dedication in the preservation of wildlife. The presentation will be made at the start of the Board’s Public Meeting. During the meeting the Supervisors will discuss adopting a Proclamation extending the local emergency for discharge of raw sewage and other pollutants into the New River. It was originally declared on November 5, 2019. The Board reconvenes into open session at 10:00 am Tuesday morning.
