Methamphetamine weighing 82 pounds was seized Thursday night.

A 24-year old woman , a U.S. citizen , was at Highway 86 Checkpoint  when a canine detection team alerted to her car. A search led to the discovery of several packages of meth hidden in the rear quarter panels of the vehicle. The methamphetamine weighed a total of 82 pounds and has a value estimated at nearly $165,000. The woman was turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
