The Imperial Hardware Company has new owners.
Phil Heald , grandson the company's founder Howard Meyer . has announced the sale of the 111 year old local retail establishment to Blythe-based Inland Builders Supply , Inc , owned and operated by David Bayles. The Imperial Hardware Company has been locally owned and operated since it's beginnings in 1908. The sale includes the company's three Do-It-Centers in Brawley , El Centro and Holtville. Phil Heald said , " Imperial Hardware Company has been an integral part of building the Imperial Valley since its inception. We are proud of all we've been able to provide this community in our time". Heald went on to say , " while the decision to pass the torch is bittersweet , it is now time for both the remaining family members to move on. We believe that Mr. Bayles and his leadership will continue putting our community first by providing the same level of service our customers have come to expect from Imperial Hardware Company".
David Bayles , owner / operator of Inland Builders Supply will officially take over Imperial Hardware this spring. Bayle said , " I'm a third-generation business owner , I know the importance of the local community to the success of a business. I look forward to continuing the heritage of Imperial Hardware Company and expanding what we have to offfer in the future." Bayles said that he will continue with the current staff in place , ensuring the Valley can expect the same care , experience and expertise they have grown accustomed to over the years.
