(Planned closure on Highway 86)….Westbound Highway 86 at Kalin Road will be closed for 3 weeks.

Work starts Monday. CalTrans is advising motorists to plan for a full closure of westbound Highway 86 at Kalin Road, just west of Brawley, for about 3 weeks beginning at 7:00 am Monday morning, for repairs on the Tamarack Canal Bridge. Eastbound Highway 86 will remain open. Detour signs will be posted. Construction crews will work from 6 am to 6 pm weekdays, with weekend and night work as needed to expedite bridge repairs.
