(DUI Enforcement)…It will be in affect over the Holidays.
As part of the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office ongoing traffic safety campaign, they will be conducting a DUI enforcement detail over the Christmas and New Year’s Holidays. It is an effort to detect, stop and arrest alcohol and drug impaired drivers. Not only will Deputies increase patrols throughout Yuma County, but they will also be targeting areas with a high rate of recurrence for DUI related collisions and/or arrests. They will be aggressively enforcing the .08 percent blood alcohol concentration law. Administrative Per Se laws (immediate driver license suspension) .04 percent BAC law for commercial vehicle drivers and the .01 percent BAC limit for drivers under 21 years of age. There will be zero tolerance.
