(Another Previously Deported Sex Offender arrested)…The man was found about 3 miles east of the Calexico Downtown Port.

Border Patrol agents assigned to the Calexico saw the man walking. The agents suspected the man had entered the US illegally. He was detained and transported to the El Centro Station for immigration and criminal history screening. The man was identified as 38 year old Efren Prado Rodriguez from Mexico. A records check revealed the man was convicted of sex abuse in the 2nd degree in 2006 out of Marion County, Oregon. He had been sentenced to 36 months probation. Prado was deported as an aggravated felon in 2006. Agents say Prado is being held in federal custody pending further criminal prosecution. This fiscal year the Border Patrol has arrested and removed 10 previously deported sex offenders.
