(Previously deported gang member arrested)…It happened earlier this week.

El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents saw the man enter the United States illegally about 3.5 miles east of the Calexico West Port of Entry. The man was taken into custody and transported to the El Centro Station for processing. Record checks determined the man’s identity was Jesus Faustino Garcia Chavez, a 35 year old Mexican National. They also revealed he was a documented sureno gang member. He had been deported from the US 11 different times. Garcia is being held in federal custody pending further criminal prosecution.
