It will remain in effect throughout the day Wednesday. The warning is issued by the National Weather Service. A Red Flag Warning is issued when there is a chance of strong, gusty winds and very low humidity in the forecast. The combination increases the chance of dangerous brush fires. Winds are expected between 20 and 30 miles per hour, with gusts up to 50 miles per hour in Southeast Imperial County. The National Weather Service says the strong winds could affect driving conditions, as well.
