(Hispanic Heritage, Dia de la Cultura)….It will be celebrated September 27th.
Imperial Valley College will be celebrating in the Rosanne Hillhouse Amphitheater on the College Campus. Beginning at 5:00 pm, parking and admission to the family friendly event will be free. There will be musical performances by Mariachi Acero, Grupo Regrado and La Cachimba. There will be dance performances by the IVC Dance Club and other groups, performing Folklorico, Flamenco, Hawaiano, and Tahitiano. A DJ and dance floor will be provided for Zumba, Salsa, Bachata and Cumbia dance lessons. There will also be an appearance by Venue Wrestling Entertainment Lucha Libre. There will be a children’s section with jumpers, face painting, balloon animals and games. Food vendors will also be on-site. There will also be an art walk, featuring works from local artists, on display and for sale. The public is encouraged to attend the celebration.
