(Annual Celebration of Education)…It is a free community event.
It showcases student performances and accomplishments. It is hosted by the Imperial County Office of Education. It will be held at Southwest High School, in the Jimmie Cannon Theater on May 2nd, beginning at 6:30 pm. The focus of the evening will be on the whole child and how the schools strive to meet all needs of the students, including their academic, social, emotional, and physical needs. This year the program will showcase several performing artists, from Calexico High School Marching Band to a Drill Team from Meadows Union Elementary, the Dogwood Lionettes and many more amazing student groups. The closing act will be Mama Mia, interpreted by Brawley High School students. There will also be an art exhibit with a variety of paintings from local students.
