(66th Annual Farm Bureau Scholarship Barbecue)….It is one of the largest fundraisers the Farm Bureau holds every year.
The event helps support the future of agriculture. Last year they awarded a total of $34,000 in scholarships from 4 scholarship funds, and they would like to exceed that amount this year. This year’s fundraiser will be held Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Ryerson Hall at Desert Trails in El Centro. Tickets are $10 and available at the Farm Bureau on Broadway in El Centro or by calling 760-352-3831. The event will feature deep pit barbecue, old fashion homemade ice cream, live music and entertainment for the kids. You can dine in or take out. The scholarships will go to students pursuing an education in an ag related field.
