The report was presented at Tuesday's Board of Supervisors meeting. Aguayo said, as of March 28th of this year, the county had a workforce of 2,130 fulltime employees, with 246 extra help employees. There were 43 new hires in March. 13 recruitments and 404 applications recieved. Specifically addressing the District Attorney situation, Aguayo said five applications were submitted for Deputy District Attorney positions. Interviews were conducted, but none of the applicants were hired. The District Attorney's office has said they were severily understaffed, and werte in need of new Deputy District Attorney's to lessen the wokload on the current Deputy D.A.'s
