(Bermuda Fire still burning)…The brush fire is 15 miles northeast of Yuma.
The fire started in the early morning hours of February 16th. Officials say the blaze has burned approximately 1,300 acres. They say the fire is about 40 percent contained. Officials are still asking the public to maintain a safe distance from the fire for personal safety and to allow firefighters to work towards extinguishing the blaze. A multi-agency effort is underway. Responding to the fire was the Bureau of Land Management, US Fish and Wildlife Service, US Forest Service, Buckskin Fire Department, Arizona State Fire Crews and private contractors. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.. No injuries have been reported. Smoke from the fire is expected to impact the area for the next several days.
