(Bailando Por Un Sueno)…It was held in October at Cheval Farms.
Thursday night the results were announced. The fundraising event is to raise donations to assist six chosen families with children afflicted by cancer. Six dignitaries participate in dance routines to raise the funds. This year’s event brought in $12,000, to be distributed evenly between the six children and their families. Angie Pena said $2,000 does not seem like a lot, but it helps the families cover expenses medi cal or insurance will not cover. In addition, the Drifters Car Club decided to take some of the proceeds from their Halloween event, Trunk or Treat, and donate to the Bailando Por un Sueno fundraiser. Thursday night, Ernie Paleo, President of the Club, and several members presented a check for $1,500 dollars. The beneficiaries of the funds raised are 2 year old Ramon Osuna, 10 year old Paulette Isabella Zepeda, 12 year old Robert Hernandez, 14 year old Yasly Guadalupe Avendano, 16 year old Jannelle Sanchez, and 17 year old Alejandro Valenzuela. This year was the 5th Annual Bailando Por Un Sueno event.
