Brawley Police arrested a 24-year old prisoner who walked away from a Imperial County Jail work detail Wednesday.

Jacob Roman Mariscal was taken into custody after a search warrant was served at a residence in the 500 block of Poe Court in Brawley. Mariscal will face additional charges related to his escape and his girlfriend , 29-year old Laura Arreola , faces charges of aiding and abetting an escapee prisoner. Both were booked into Imperial County Jail. Brawley Police , with the assistance of the Department of Homeland Security specialized Investigations Unit were able to develop leads and information that led to the arrests.
