(Imperial County Strike Team Reassigned, again)….Over the weekend the team was sent to the Valley Fire in San Bernardino, County.
The Team had originally been sent to assist in the Pawnee Fire. Once Firefighters got the upper hand in that fire, the Imperial County Strike Team was reassigned to the Yolo County Fire. They remained at that fire until this weekend, when they were sent to the Valley Fire. As of Monday morning, the San Bernardino County File had burned 1, 139 acres and was just 5 percent contained. The good news for the Imperial County firefighters. They will be coming home on Tuesday. County Fire Chief Estrada said no new Team will be sent to relieve them. They should arrive back in Imperial County by Tuesday afternoon.
