(What is the future of the Imagine School?)…The answer could be up to the state.

Not long ago the Imagine School in El Centro applied to renew their Charter. It was turned down by the El Centro Elementary School District. The school appealed to the Imperial County Office of Education. Last week the ICOE Board upheld the original decision. Imagine School Officials say they will turn to the State. They say an appeal is being prepared. The El Centro School District said their decision was based on the fact the Imagine School grades were well below the average in the El Centro District. Imagine officials argued the grades at their school were on a par of the rest of the District.
