(Supervisors approve funding agreements under Rule 310)…And they agree to expand other agreements.
Rule 310 allows the Air Pollution Control District to mitigate New Development Emissions. Tuesday the Board of Supervisors, sitting as the Air Pollution Control Board, approved funding agreements with the County Public Works Department, Magnolia Elementary School and Holtville Unified School Districts. Public Works will receive 80% funding for two water trucks, and the Holtville District will receive funding for a new lawn mower. Also under Rule 310, funding was extended for the City of El Centro and the City of Brawley. El Centro will receive an extra $54,255 dollars to cover the parking lot paving at Swarthout Park. Brawley will receive an extra $86,952 for the parking lot paving at Volunteer Park. The paving is expected to greatly reduce the dust currently created by the dirt parking lots at both City Parks.
