The Imperial Valley Healthcare district is celebrating the completed transfer of El Centro Regional Medical Center's ECRMC) assets to the district.

The district has now entered the next phase of integrating and expanding health care access in the Imperial Valley. Clinical teams from both hospitals will begin aligning their practices, giving the district the opportunity to recruit physicians and specialists for the entire Valley. The IVHD Board of Directors will govern both hospitals, with management services provided by UC San Diego Health. Pablo Velez, formally CEO of ECRMC, now serves as CEO of IVHD.
