U.S. Border Patrol agents have recently conducted multiple joint commercial vehicle enforcement operations at the Highway 86 checkpoint.

Border Patrol agents, in partnership with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the U. S. Department of Transportation, inspected commercial drivers and vehicles at the checkpoint in August and September. At least 196 commercial drivers were inspected, 57 citations were issued and 27 drivers were taken out of service. One driver, a U.S. citizen, was arrested with an active, extraditable Texas warrant for parole violation.
