The City of El Centro has sand and sandbags available.

With the National Weather Service forecasting potential heavy rainfall for the weekend, the city is taking precautionary measures and making the supplies available to residents. Empty sandbags are available at the city's three fire stations and sand is available at the parking lot next to the El Centro Public Library, at the parking lot at 5th and Olive and at the Stark Field parking lot. Residents can bring their own shovels and fill the sandbags.

Imperial County has made sand and sandbags available to Imperial County Fire stations.
