The Imperial County Board of Supervisors have proclaimed October Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

The theme is Standing Together Against Domestic Violence. The proclamation recognizes the impact domestic violence has on individuals, families, and communities. The board recognized the important work of Womanhaven, A Center for Family Solutions, for their work in providing critical services, support, and hope to individuals and families throughout Imperial County.
