A woman is in Imperial Couty Jail after being found with a gun and drugs.

The woman, 37-year-old Danielle Meeden, was contacted by Imperial County Sheriff's deputies while parked near Winterhaven Drive along the Yuma main Canal. Deputies saw a loaded handgun in plain view inside the vehicle. A search led to the discovery of 17 grams of methamphetamine, a scale and multiple plastic baggies. Deputies determined that Meeden has a prior felony conviction which makes it illegal to possess a firearm. She was booked at Imperial County Jail on charges of Felon in Possession of a Loaded Firearm, Felon in Possession of Ammunition, Possession of Narcotics for Sale, and Possession of Methamphetamine with a Loaded Firearm.
