(Former Customs and Border Protection Officer sentenced)...A federal court sentenced Jesse Clark Garcia to 9 years in prison.

He was convicted of allowing drug-laden vehicles cross the border in the inspection lane he was working at the Tecate Port of Entry. The narcotics were being smuggled by the Sinaloa Cartel. Garcia and his co-defendant, Diego Bonilla, had entered guilty pleas to the charges. Bonilla was sentenced to 15 years in prison in 2025.
