Look for typical August heat this week.

The National Weather Service forecast says temperatures will moderate a bit starting Monday but, deeper moisture will provide an opportunity for more widespread shower and thunderstorm activity during the first half of the week. Heading towards the end of the week and into next weekend drier air will move into the Imperial Valley and temperatures may move to possibly a few degrees below normal with even the possibility of west winds.
