(Comite Civico del Valle and Earthworks).....They say they are reaffirming their commitment to responsible Lithium Valley Development.

This comes after a court of appeals hearing. Oral arguments were heard recently in the appeal by Comite Civico del Valle and Earthworks concerning Imperial County's approval of the Hell's Kitchen Lithium Project in the Salton Sea Region. The argument presented by Comite and Earthworks is that California's transition to a clean energy economy should be accompanied by a thorough environmental review, meaningful public participation and informed public decision making. The court has not announced a decision on the appeal.
