The Imperial Irrigation District has issued a Conserve Alert.
Predicted extreme heat and forecasted demand approaching the IID's annual peak are expected to place added strain on the western electric grid including the IID. The Conserve Alert will go into effect at 7:00 a.m. Thursday and remain through Monday at 10:00 p.m. Temperatures could reach 116 - 118 this weekend.
