The IID is encouraging customers to update contact information and prepare for Summer Storm Season. They say as storm season approaches, customers should prepare now for extreme weather that can bring high winds, lightening, heavy rain, localized flooding, downed power lines, and outages across the region. Monsoonal storms typically affect Imperial Valley and surrounding areas beginning in July and continue through September. Those storms can create hazardous conditions, including flooding roads, limited ace to some areas, and damage to electric infrastructure. Customers can prepare by updating contact information with the IID. Download the IID Connect app for account access and outage updates.
