The Imperial County Elections Department has released the final numbers from the June 2, 2026, Primary Election.

Several of the local races will go to a runoff in the November General Election. Incumbent John Hawk of the County Board of Supervisors will meet Patricia " Patty " Lizarraga in November. Hawk picked up 42.24% of the vote with Lizarraga garnering 30.10%. Lorena Minor-Montes picked up 27.67%. 

Enrique " Kiki " Alvarado narrowly missed the 50% margin for an outright win. Alvarado has 2,176 votes to 1,209 for Jesus Eduardo Escoba and 1,006 for Joong Kim. Alvardo's 49.56% means he will face Escobar in November.

State Assemblyman Jeff Gonzales will meet Ida Obeso-Martinez in November. District-wide, Gonzales has 44.6% of the vote and Obeso-Martinez 24.1% Oscar Ortiz picked up 17.61% and Tomas Oliva 12.98%.

Alex Cardenas was easily reelected to the IID Board with nearly 67% of the vote.

Karin Eugenio was reelected with 61.43% of the total votes.

Ben Salorio was elected to the Superior Court bench with 12,559 votes to Veronica Hendersons 11,225.

Robert Menvielle was reelected with 12,154 votes to Ricardo Avilas 11,579.

The Official Final Results show that a total 25,503 voters cast ballots, 23,686 voted by mail. There are 94,917 registered voters in Imperial County. Turnout was 26.87%.
