A bicycle rider was busted for drugs.

On Saturday, Imperial County Sheriff's deputies assigned to Winterhaven stopped a bicycle rider for a traffic violation. A search of the man, Matias Nieto, 46, found 6 small baggies of methamphetamine. Nieto was arrested and a closer search led to the discovery of an additional 60 grams of meth, 22 grams of marijuana and a meth pipe. Nieto has a criminal history with prior narcotics convictions. He was booked into Imperial County Jail on charges of Possession of Narcotics with Priors, Possession for Sales, Transportation of Narcotics, Possession of meth, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
